Getting a blouse stitched in Bengaluru from outside India
Yes, you can. Pushpa's Boutique in J.P. Nagar, Bengaluru has sent finished garments outside India many times. The safest way is a trial blouse: we first post you a plain blouse with no design, you try it on at home and tell us what to change, and only then do we cut the designed blouse. Postage is quoted for your country before you pay anything.
How it works, step by step
- Message us on WhatsApp (81399 91552) with your country, a photo of the saree or design, and when you need it.
- Send your measurements. Accurate ones make the fit: if you can, have them taken by a local tailor.
- Choose the cloth. We can buy it here in Bengaluru and send you photographs before we cut, or you can courier your own fabric to the shop.
- We post a plain trial blouse, with no design, cut to your measurements.
- You try it on at home and tell us what to change: tighter here, longer there.
- We cut and stitch the designed blouse with those changes, and post it to you.
Why a trial blouse
In the shop, nobody collects a blouse without trying it on first: a trial before finishing is how every blouse is made here. Across a distance, the plain trial blouse does the same job. You are never waiting to find out whether the finished blouse fits.
Postage and payment
Standard postage charges apply and are added to the stitching price. We tell you the postage for your country before you pay, and we do not add anything you have not agreed to. Stitching prices on our site are in Indian rupees.
If these words are new to you
- Blouse: the fitted top worn with a saree, cut for one person's body, which is why it is stitched rather than bought.
- Fall & pico: a strip stitched inside the saree's lower edge so it hangs well, and a fine rolled hem along the border so it does not fray.
- Princess cut: a blouse shaped with long curved seams instead of darts, so it follows the body more closely.
- Kuchu: small decorative tassels knotted along the edge of a saree's pallu.

Can I send my own fabric from abroad?
Yes. You can courier your own fabric to the shop. Or we can buy the cloth here and send you photographs before we cut it.
How are postage charges worked out?
Standard postage for your country is added to the stitching price. We quote it before you pay, and nothing is added that you have not agreed to.
Do I need to come to the shop?
No. Everything can be done on WhatsApp: measurements, cloth, the trial blouse and the final blouse by post.
